Mental Training
Alright. The indoors season is on. We’ve had a great start, awesome practices and a win over Ragnarok. Less impressive is our two defeats to the other Cph teams, Circus and KFK. Both were games we should (and could) have won and we had the upper hand in both games, until they both made a [...]

Get in shape!
So, as we’re approaching the last part of the outdoor season, we need to get into shape. And not just that, we should train our bodies so they are optimal for playing. I stumbled on this series of exercises and am contemplating setting them up on Tuesdays… Maybe start with a more humane edition and [...]

CB: Status Q
COACH’S’ BLOG So, midways is getting closer. Right now the team seems troubled. It’s the same brave souls signing up and we’re not as many as we should be. Summers’ close and experience shows that we are even less in the vacation months. We have some injuries and one of our valued players and my co-coach [...]
So, you want to lay out?
Since we’re generally not good enough at laying out and since we’ve got several injuries from the guys that do, I thought I’d point you to an excellent guide on the matter. It’s a really extensive guide and I agree with it 100% so go with my blessing. It’s gonna be great watching you guys [...]
CB: 17 flights of Stairs
So, since no one bothered signing up for Sunday practice, I decided to take matter into my own hands and make a run for it. Riget is 16 stories high and has a basement, meaning that there’s 17 pretty high stories to run up at. So off I went, not really knowing how hard it’d be.
It was different than I expected, much harder on my lungs than my muscles. Around the 10th floor I got tired and slowed my pace and it wasn’t really an impressive last part. But I got to the top, (in about 2 min. 30 sec) and then the lactic acids hit my legs and they started feeling numb. But in a good way. I propose that we do this, if we’re few at training, which the current pattern of Sunday practices seems to point to. It’s great for your circuit and leg muscles, improving your speed, acceleration and physical shape.
Prismen; Spreading the Gospel
This friday, May 14th 2010, Jan and I went all the way to Amager to participate in a project in Prismen called “Den Hemmelige Idræt”/”The Secret Sports”. The point was to present some lesser known sports to young people and it included Flag Football, Floorball, dancing and of course Ultimate. We were the last of [...]
